Retro Salt and Pepper Stripe Chambray Vest

Inspired by the striped work vests common in early France in the 1920s~1930s
Based on the work vest commonly worn by French workers in the old days, the details of the pattern have been re-modified. In that era of scarcity, people would not spend more money to use high-quality fabrics for the backs of vests. Instead, they would use cheaper linen, cotton or linings as back fabrics. The colors would also be better. The choice of fabrics that contrasts sharply with the front of the vest prevents the exposed back after taking off the jacket from looking cheap. This design has continued to this day and has become an almost unchangeable classic detail.
